Quantum Vector Magnetometers for the Next Generation of Defense Sensing
QNV Systems develops quantum vector magnetometers that enable passive detection, precision navigation, and persistent situational awareness across land, maritime, and autonomous operations. Built on quantum sensing technology, our solutions provide highly sensitive, three-axis magnetic field measurements that detect what conventional sensors cannot.
PassivePrecisePersistent
Every hidden object bends the field.
A submarine hull, a tunnel, a vehicle under cover — each one distorts the Earth’s magnetic field. That distortion persists whether the target is emitting or silent, moving or stationary, and it cannot be jammed, spoofed, or obscured the way radar, RF, and optical returns can.
QNV Systems is developing quantum vector magnetometers that resolve those anomalies across three axes and classify them at the sensor. Direction and magnitude together separate a target signature from platform motion and the background field, which is what turns a magnetic disturbance into a detection an operator can act on.
Four mission areas, one sensing layer
Underwater Detection & Maritime Security
Detect, classify, and track submarines, unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), naval mines, and other underwater assets using passive magnetic sensing in rivers, lakes, harbors, and oceans.
Underground Cavity Detection
Locate tunnels, bunkers, and other concealed underground threats. Voids and buried infrastructure disturb the local field, and a vector measurement resolves their position and depth from the surface.
Weapon & Contraband Detection
Identify concealed weapons and contraband on people entering a secure area. Screening is passive and emits nothing, so it works at entry control points without radiation or an active portal.
Positioning, Navigation & Timing
Hold position and heading where GPS is unavailable, degraded, or denied. Anomalies in the local field act as fixed landmarks, giving platforms a passive reference underwater, underground, and under jamming.
Built for the Future Operating Environment
Defense sensing is evolving toward distributed autonomous systems operating in increasingly contested environments. QNV Systems is developing technologies designed around that future.
We believe passive magnetic sensing will become a foundational layer within future multi-domain sensing architectures.
